Mr. Y. D. Wadaskar is an electronics engineer, has over 42 years of experience in design and development of embedded systems, cryptography and system software of various products. He founded WYSE Biometrics systems Pvt. Ltd, Pune, in 1993, which is in the business of design and manufacturing of electronic authentication products such as piracy prevention, web security and recently forayed into the field of fingerprint based Biometrics. He has successfully brought the first Indian designed and manufactured Biometric device in the year 2002. He has been awarded the Indian patent on network based biometrics device, while another patent on biometric payment application is pending.

Mr. Wadaskar is actively promoting and working on Biometrics in India and is currently working as the Convener of Biometric Working Group in Bureau of Indian Standards.
