At its core, BioSentry CARA uses a TECH5 face recognition engine (NIST top-ranked) based on advanced convolutional neural networks, supporting both 1:N identification and 1:1 verification. It delivers matching speeds of 300–2000 milliseconds, with an exceptionally low False Acceptance Rate (0.00001%) and reliable FRR (1–2%), making it ideal for high-security environments. Featuring a 13 MP autofocus camera (10–50 cm range), real-time ambient light adjustment, and optional mask detection, the system ensures accurate recognition across varying lighting and facial conditions. With the ability to store up to 5,000 face templates and log up to 200,000 attendance swipes, it’s built for scalability. 

The 5” multi-touch IPS display, combined with audio and visual capture prompts, provides a smooth user experience, while Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity ensures real-time cloud sync. It also includes optional QR code scanning and access control features (NO-COM-NC relay, door sensor), making it a comprehensive attendance and entry management system.Housed in a rugged IP40-rated ABS body, BioSentry CARA is  wall-mountable, tamper-resistant, and designed to operate efficiently in temperatures ranging from 5°C to 47°C with up to 95% RH.
